Renewal Rules
Renewal Grace Period: If a domain name holder renews the domain name before its expiration, a 15-day renewal grace period will apply after the renewal. If the domain is deleted by a registrar during this period, CNNIC will refund the renewal fee paid by the registrar.
Renewal Confirmation Period: After a domain name expires, it automatically enters the renewal confirmation period. The domain name holder has 30 days after expiration to confirm whether they wish to renew. If the domain holder submits a written statement opting not to renew, the registrar has the right to cancel the domain name. If the domain name holder does not provide a written statement opting out of renewal and fails to renew the domain name within the 30-day period, the registrar has the right to cancel the domain name 30 days after expiration.
Redemption Grace Period (High-Cost Redemption Period): After a domain name is canceled or deleted due to expiration, the original registrant has a 15-day redemption grace period (high-cost redemption period). During this period, the registrant has the right to redeem the domain name, but must negotiate with the original registrar or agent to redeem the domain name at an agreed or negotiated price.
Transfer Rules
Domain Name Transfer: refer to the process of moving a domain name from registrar A to registrar B.
♦The user needs to request the transfer password from registrar A and provide it to registrar B. Registrar B will then complete the transfer process through the registration system.
♦ After confirming the user's identity, registrar A must provide the transfer password unconditionally.
Transfer Renewal: When transferring a domain name, the user must renew the domain name for one additional year with registrar B.
Transfer Grace Period: The 15-day period following the transfer is the transfer grace period. If the domain name holder cancels the domain name during this period, CNNIC will refund the transfer fee deducted from the incoming registrar to registrar B.

CNNIC Audit Standards
Registrant Audit
A. Background Automatic Verification: If a registrant submits an ID card or organization code certificate, the system will automatically verify the electronic information in real time.
B. Manual audit: If a registrant submits overseas documents or other valid identity or organizational documents (such as a passport, Taiwan Compatriot Certificate, etc.), a CNNIC auditor will promptly review the relevant electronic information.
C. Whitelisted Users Exempt from Audit: CNNIC whitelisted users are automatically approved and can directly register domain names without undergoing the verification process.
