Description of .中国 Domain Name Registration Service System

According to the China Internet Domain Name Regulations, CNNIC, as the registry for .中国 domain names, does not directly provide registration services for .中国 domain names to end users. Instead, such services will be provided by CNNIC-certified domain name registrars. The management structure of these registrars is as follows:   

The China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) is the registry for .中国 domain names, responsible for operating and managing the corresponding .中国 domain name system and maintaining the centralized database. The main responsibilities include: 

(a) Operate, maintain, and manage the .中国 domain name servers and related information to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the .中国 domain name system; 

(b) Authorize .中国 domain name registrars to provide registration services for .中国 domain names. 

Registrars should process applications for .中国 domain name registration based on the principles of fairness and "first come, first served", and complete the registration in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations. The China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) accredits .中国 domain name registrars.

Registrar agencies are responsible for handling domain name registration applications within the scope authorized by registrars.
