Description of .CN Domain Name Registration Service System
According to the China Internet Domain Name Regulations, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) made significant changes to its domain name management service model on December 16, 2002. Under the new structure, CNNIC, as the registry for .CN domain names, no longer provides direct services to end users for .CN domain name registration. Instead, domain name registration services are now handled by CNNIC-certified registrars. The management structure of these registrars is as follows:

CNNIC: As the registry for .CN domain names, CNNIC is responsible for operating and managing the .CN domain name system and maintaining the central database. The main responsibilities include:
(i) Operating, maintaining, and managing .CN domain name servers and related infrastructure to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the .CN domain name system;
(ii) Authorizing .CN domain name registrars to offer .CN domain name registration services.
The registrars must process .CN domain name registration applications in accordance with the principles of fairness and "first come, first served." They are required to complete the registration process in compliance with relevant national laws, regulations, and provisions. CNNIC certifies .CN domain name registrars.
Registrar agency organization: Responsible for accepting domain name registration applications within the scope authorized by registrars.
For .CN domain name registration, changes, transfers, renewals, and other related services, please consult registrars. Domain name information is based on the CNNIC database.
