.CN and .中国 Featured at the 2024 China Cybersecurity Week Expo

From September 7 to 12, the 2024 China Cybersecurity Week Expo was held in Nansha District, Guangzhou. Themed Cybersecurity for the People and by the People, the expo highlighted the latest achievements in high-quality cybersecurity development and industry applications, while aiming to enhance cybersecurity awareness, knowledge, and skills across society.

As a national team in Internet basic resources, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) plays a crucial role in developing and managing national Internet basic resources, safeguarding national Internet infrastructure security, advancing critical technologies for Internet basic resources, researching Internet development and digital economy, and engaging in global Internet governance and international collaboration. At this expo, CNNIC set up a dedicated exhibition area for national top-level domains, aimed at promoting and educating the public about domain-related Internet resources, with a focus on showcasing achievements in the registration and management, top-tier services, and technological innovation of national top-level domains.

The prominent showcase of .CN and .中国, featuring case studies like 12371.cn, xuexi.cn, 新华网.中国, and miit.gov.cn, demonstrated the exemplary applications of national top-level domains. Serving as a country's digital identity, these domains embody the national mission and cultural essence in the cyberspace. The national top-level domains of .CN and .中国 are known for their stability, fast resolution, comprehensive services, and robust security, making them important elements for government departments and key enterprises to showcase their image and cultural values. To provide visitors with a more comprehensive understanding of national top-level domains, the exhibition area hosted interactive activities, such as a knowledge competition and mini-lectures on national top-level domains. More than a thousand guests and visitors participated in these knowledge-sharing events, significantly deepening their insights into national top-level domains.
